60% of foreign tourists choose Sunny Beach resort due to party tourism opportunities. Over 60% of the holidaymakers in Sunny Beach are young people who have chosen the resort their party tourism activities. They have all participated in bar tours at least once as a part of the entertainment options in the beloved beach destination in Bulgaria.

There is a bit of a shocking ad which the British Consulate uses to warn its residents that all entertainment options should be consumed responsibly. The ad says: “Drink responsibly. In case of an emergency, call 112!”. Actually tourists don’t choose Sunny Beach for their summer holiday just because the drinks are cheap. People arrived in the resort, because they can have some fun. There were some tragic cases last year, however, all measures have been taken to prevent any dangerous situations. Sunny Beach management and hotel owners also organize a campaign to inform young people about their responsibilities in the resort. They should take care of themselves. Alcohol tourism is not the right definition for this type of tourism in Sunny Beach, because it should be called organized youth tourism. Young people tend to choose centrally located hotels, because they are close to bars and discos.

On the other hand, other holidaymakers should have this in mind and choose quiet locations. Sunny Beach benefits from being promoted as a party holiday destination, because otherwise it’s not possible to have the accommodation fully booked. The bar tours in Sunny Beach were created 8 years ago. The promotion of parties and bars actually developed a complete travel product. The truth is that the entrance fee for most bars and discos is more affordable than the fees in most European countries. This is why Sunny Beach has been recognized as a party holiday venue.
